The Liner, Gyllyngvase beach

Requiring functionality and style, as well as a service to count on, this collection of 52 luxury beachfront apartments and penthouses required both functionality and style from their electrical distribution products.

Rooms with a view

Boasting uninterrupted south-facing sea views, The Liner, created by leading developer Acorn, is a collection of 52 luxury beachfront apartments and penthouses, with allocated parking and lift access.

With its distinct design, which replicates the front end of a cruise liner and high specification, The Liner offers the very best in contemporary, open plan coastal living overlooking the award-winning Gyllyngvase beach in Falmouth.

Stylish and functional solutions

Requiring functionality and style, as well as a service to count on, we supplied 52 residential Design 10 consumer units for the apartments, as well as complementary wiring accessories and innovative Sollysta media plate as part of the project.

Offering reliable functionality, the Design 10 consumer unit delivered ease of installation for Totus Engineering, while the surface mounted boards offered the properties’ residents easy access and attractive aesthetics.

Shane Stone, sales engineer for Hager, comments: “The Liner is a spectacular and prestigious development for the sea front in Falmouth. The design ambition meant that all aspects of the luxury development were specified to a high level.

“This meant the project’s electrical contractors were seeking products that combined excellent and proven functionality, cost effectiveness and a degree of style.”

Shane Stone, Sales Engineer

With a need to ensure that each apartment owner would have sufficient electrical sockets to accommodate the growing range of electrical devices that require power or charging, the project has also incorporated a Hager Sollysta media plate within each of the apartments.

On time, on point

With construction deadlines tight, Hager managed to fulfil the order for the large volume of Design 10 consumers units without any delay to ensure the installation schedule was met. With its easy installation design characteristics, the electrical contracting team was able to streamline installation, which helped to maintain the construction timetable.

Situated discreetly, the attractive Sollysta plate outlets will accommodate numerous devices such as TVs, satellite boxes, broadband connections, and DVDs simultaneously. The added benefit of being able to hide all the associated power cables helps provide an overall tidy appearance for the living spaces.

Shane Stone concludes: “It was a pleasure being part of the supply team helping to create the eye-catching Liner development. The installation of several of our industry proven product solutions which are easy to install, functional and enhance living areas, has meant we have been able to add real value to this project and support our client.”
