As consumers continue to drive demand for in-home and workspace portable device charging solutions, Hager’s Sollysta range now includes Decorative and Metalclad finishes. The Sollysta Metalclad options have been specifically designed to combine both durability and aesthetics without compromising on functionality. Manufactured from high grade galvanised steel, the Metalclad socket solution is finished with a durable epoxy powder coating. While the Decorative range offers a contemporary style to any interior, delivering an aesthetically designed socket solution.
In addition to its robust design, the Metalclad socket option features faceplates which overlap the lip of the back box and sit flush to the back box edge for a smooth high-quality finish. Ease of installation has also been factored into its design with a strong two tab knock out which can be cleanly removed without deforming the box wall.
Both socket options complement the proven technical performance delivered by the double pole twin switched socket that incorporates both a Type A and the emerging Type C USB port. The two charging ports can deliver a total charging current of 3.1 Amps.
Available in three distinct finishes and five variants, the Decorative range is available in brushed steel white, brushed steel black, polished steel white, polished steel black, and black nickel. Metalclad solutions are available in grey and white.
Primary charging through intelligent connection
The Sollysta 13A Twin Switched Socket with USB A+C ports has built-in intelligent connection, enabling the socket to identify itself as the dedicated primary charger for the connected device. This provides maximum charging capacity and improvements to charging speeds as the device allows the socket to safely bypass its trickle/safety charging mode.
Like all options within the Sollysta range, the socket features Hager’s patented 3 pin safety shutter system and the double pole socket that switches both the live and neutral conductors to ensure safe isolation of the plugged-in device.
