Hager launches new Hub to support electrical apprentices

Coinciding with National Apprenticeship Week, Hager announce the launch of its new Apprentice Hub, offering support and guidance to those starting out in the trade.

Hager Apprentice

Hager’s newly launched Apprentice Hub, offering access to the latest news, information on training opportunities and upcoming events, is set to support the development and growth of the next generation of electricians.

Dedicated to investing in the next generation of installers, the hub features content that offers advice and support on the latest regulations, the implications for those working in the industry and ensuring compliance as well as training opportunities, that can all be accessed from one centralised location.

To further its commitment to supporting those new to the industry, apprentices can also benefit from convenient access to Hager Academy. Offering relevant online training modules that provide insight into the industry, with topics including the need for Arc Fault Detection Devices and Surge Protection Devices, apprentices can enhance their professional development. However, balancing on-the-job experience and classroom based training is not an easy accomplishment for a time constricted apprentice. It is with this in mind that Hager Academy offers accessible courses that can be revisited and completed at a time when it best suits them.

"Apprentices are the future and we’re committed to helping shape the next generation and generations of installers to come.”

Ian Smith

Country Marketing  Leader for Hager

Following on from the online success of Hager’s longstanding Install of the Month competition, apprentices can now showcase their newly developed skills with a similar competition. Dubbed Apprentice of the Month, the premise of the competition consists of those new or in the early stages of their professional development sharing photographs of their Hager installations to Twitter or Instagram. Receiving recognition for their hard earned skills, winners will be awarded with the sought after Hager screwdrivers and an exclusive Hager-branded Apprentice of the Month t-shirt.

Ian Smith, Country Marketing Leader for Hager, comments: “We recognise that starting a career as an electrician can be daunting, which is why we’ve created our Apprentice Hub. It’s designed to give those new to or just starting out in the industry the support and guidance they need as they embark on their journey to becoming a professional installer.

We have a great reputation when it comes to training and industry support and the Apprentice Hub enables us to further strengthen that commitment to the trade by providing access to valuable insight for those just beginning their careers. Apprentices are the future and we’re committed to helping shape the next generation and future generations of installers.”
