  • Why become an electrical apprentice?

    Starting a career as an electrician provides a vast amount of career growth and learning opportunities. Not only is it a stable career but the progression routes are endless. Electricians can achieve a healthy work-life balance and even have the option to be their own boss. 

  • How do you get started as an electrical apprentice? 

    You can start by taking a college course to gain technical knowledge and strengthen your practical skills. In addition to learning courses, apprentices will also need hand on work experience in the field. The best way to find an apprenticeship is to check trade association sites, job boards online, and vocational colleges in your area. Lastly, making connections with local electrical companies is important as some may be willing to support you through an apprenticeship.   • What kinds of training do Hager offer? 

    Hager offer a mix of different trainings from online courses, live webinars to face-to face trainings at our training Academy in Telford. To learn more about the current courses we offer, please visit out training page

  • What to expect as a first year electrical apprentice?

    During the course of an electrical apprenticeship, an apprentice will work alongside a mentor and complete maintenance work, troubleshoot, test equipment and more.


Sparks Female Skills Competition

We were honoured to be a headline sponsor for Spark's first-ever Female Skills competition 2023!

The competition involved 6 finalist for 3 different regional heats throughout the UK.  Level 2 and 3 female student electricians of all ages, from colleges nationwide, competed in a live practical installation for the chance to win a place in the grand final.
