KNX/DALI Gateway

Dynamic lighting control interface.

Hager modular devices for electrical installations including a 4X DALI broadcast lighting controller and a digital time switch

Human Centric Lighting

Bright light in the morning, cool at noon and warm in the evening - this can now be set very easily. With the new KNX / DALI gateway with Tunable White function, it adjusts the color temperature and brightness of LED lamps dynamically to the natural course of daylight and the human biorhythm. This promotes well-being, lowers the stress level and increases performance.

From now on easily programmable
The KNX / DALI gateway TYA670WD2 is programmed with ETS. In addition, there is now a broadcast device that you can put into operation with both the ETS and the easy programming from Hager: the new DALI actuator 4-gang KNX easy. This means that you have an easy-to-program LED light control at your disposal. In addition to Tunable White, you can also use it to carry out classic RGBW color controls.

  • In the morning

    Bright, neutral light
    (3,300-5,300 K)

    Noon

Cool, indirect light with a high proportion of blue
    (approx. 6,500 K)

    In the evening

    Warm white, direct light
    (2,700–3,000 K)

Full colour control with DALI type 8

DALI has proven itself many times over as a digital protocol for lighting control. All new KNX / DALI devices from Hager correspond to DALI type 8 and thus the highest standard that can currently be achieved in LED lighting control. Color temperature, brightness and spatial light distribution can be set independently or in combination: continuously from warm white (1,000 K) to cold white (10,000 K) using Tunable White. The color rendering comes very close to the popular incandescent light. With the DALI actuator easy you can also control all RGBW colors.
    Infinitely adjustable maximum color temperature
    from 1,000 to 10,000 K.
Dimmable brightness and color temperature: warm light when dimming down, cool light when dimming up.

    Recommended applications

    • Residential buildings
    • Offices and administrative buildings
    • Educational institutions
    • Health care facilities
    • Hospitality projects
    • Production facilities and warehouses

    Five wires - simply wired

The new KNX / DALI devices are as easy to install as they are versatile in their functions: In addition to the three wires for the supply voltage (230 V), two wires are available for the DALI bus, which is used to control the electronic ballasts can. The DALI wires are cross-phase, which means: It doesn't matter what you connect where. That makes the installation even faster and easier. After wiring, you can immediately carry out all the necessary function tests of the ECGs and LEDs.

    Types of installation

    Broadcast

    • All connected DALI devices are controlled by a broadcast command.
    • Fast commissioning, as individual addressig is not required.
    • Easy maintenance: if an operating device fails, it can be replaced quickly without reprogramming.
    • Reduced range of functions: no collective feedback, no response to emergency lights, no individual device error readout - error messages are only possible "per line".

    Multicast

    • Several luminaires are combined into groups.
    • The max. 64 DALI operating devices are assigned to different groups of the gateway.
    • Each group can be controlled separately via KNX.
    • In addition to group addressing, selected lamps can be addressed individually (unicast).

    Unicast (special case of multicast)

    • DALI operating devices can either be integrated in the individual device addressing or in the group addressing.
    • It is not possible to control an operating device using both addressing types.
    • Operating devices tat are integrated in the group control can no longer be addressed as individual devices - and vice versa.
    • The monitoring of errors and their feedbacks is carried out separately for each luminaire.
