Hager - Sistemas Eléctricos Modulares, the Portuguese subsidiary of Hager, was established in 1992. Today, the Sintra-based business counts 2 buildings in the country and 60 employees.

Last year, Hager Portugal optimised the technical and economic solution for the new Hospital de Proximidade de Sintra, ensuring safe, reliable and scalable power for one of the region’s most important and modern public healthcare facilities. Throughout the project, the subsidiary coordinated with specifiers, installers, panel builders to manage requirements, adjust specifications, and ensure full compliance with performance and safety standards.
Since 2002, Portugal men's team have qualified for every final phase of the World Cup. In fact, Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for most appearances, having featured 22 times in the competition. The current national team, including Ronaldo, has once again qualified for the World Cup and is playing in Group K with Congo DR, Uzbekistan and Colombia.

Portugal is set to co-host the 2030 World Cup alongside Morocco and Spain.
