Hager wins Designplus Award for its witty park 2 charging station

Hager has received the Designplus Award by Light + Building in the category Sustainability & Future Energy+ for its new witty park 2 charging station. With its thoughtful design, high usability and versatile application options, the solution sets new standards for charging infrastructure.

The Designplus Award recognises outstanding design solutions in the fields of lighting, electrical engineering and building automation. It honours products that successfully combine innovation, functionality, design quality and sustainability. Winners are selected by an independent expert jury and presented to an international professional audience at the world’s leading trade fair Light + Building in Frankfurt.

In its statement, the jury particularly highlighted the combination of design, functionality and user experience.
The witty park 2 was described as an aesthetically appealing and intuitive charging station with two charging points of 22 kW each, which can be installed both as a twin wallbox or as a free-standing dual charging column.

The system impressed the jury with features such as its 8-inch colour display, secure and optionally calibration-law-compliant billing, and a user interface that transfers the ease of use known from DC charging stations to AC infrastructure.

The jury also emphasised the installation-friendly system architecture. A single power supply line, simple installation and fast commissioning significantly reduce effort and complexity. At the same time, connectivity via LAN or LTE enables reliable remote monitoring of the charging infrastructure. OCPP compatibility ensures integration with various backend systems and guarantees long-term flexibility.

The charging station therefore offers particularly intuitive operation while reducing installation effort thanks to its simple mounting and fast commissioning.

witty park 2 also performs strongly in terms of operation and future readiness. The charging infrastructure can be reliably monitored remotely via LAN or LTE.

With the witty park 2 dual charger, Hager sets a strong benchmark for efficient, user-friendly and future-proof charging infrastructure in semi-public and public environments.
