Daniel Hager elected ZVEI President

The ZVEI Board has elected Daniel Hager, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hager Group, as the new ZVEI President during today’s General Assembly. He succeeds Dr. Gunther Kegel in accordance with the association’s statutes and regular rotation, after Kegel had led the association since 2020.

Daniel Hager has been actively involved in the Electrical and Digital Industry Association for more than 15 years and currently serves on the Executive Board as well as Chairman of the Building Platform.

As President, he identifies the following as key priorities:

Competitive framework conditions for companies in Germany and Europe
Consistently implementing the energy transition
Strengthening European networking and collaboration within the association

“In these challenging geopolitical times, Europe is our ‘life insurance’. Only a strong Europe can keep us in the game in a world where rules are barely respected anymore. We must expand the single market and turn the EU into an industrial accelerator that focuses on innovation and entrepreneurial initiative and creates a level playing field.” said Daniel Hager.
