What are cookies?

What about other tracking technologies?

Coo­kies are not the only way to re­cog­ni­se or track vi­si­tors to a web­si­te. We may use ot­her, si­mi­lar tech­no­lo­gies from time to time, like web be­acons (so­me­ti­mes cal­led "trac­king pixels" or "cle­ar gifs").
