Hager and brands unite at Europe’s largest energy trade fair
The smarter E Europe 2026 in Munich brought together the leading players shaping the future of energy. Approximately 105,000 trade visitors from 163 countries came to the fair this year. A total of 2,650 exhibitors from 52 countries presented their products, solutions and business models.
Across the event, Hager, E3/DC, advizeo and Herholdt Controls showcased how intelligent technologies can help connect energy generation, storage, distribution and consumption into one seamless ecosystem. A particular highlight was E3/DC's bidirectional Wallbox edsn, which received The smarter E AWARD 2026 in the E-Mobility category.
The energy transition requires more than individual products. It calls for intelligent systems that integrate energy generation, storage, distribution and consumption. At the trade fair, our teams engaged with visitors, shared insights and explored opportunities to accelerate the energy transition.
Hager: Intelligent energy ecosystems in action
At Hager’s EM-Power exhibition booth, our experts demonstrated how intelligent energy management can connect electrical mobility, photovoltaics, battery storage and building technologies into a cohesive, customer first ecosystem.
Visitors experienced the new witty flex bidirectional DC charging station, which transforms electric vehicles into active components of the energy system. Another key attraction was flow R3, the latest generation of our energy management system. Equipped with AI360 technology, it continuously analyses and optimises energy flows based on weather forecasts, electricity prices and consumption patterns.
Together with metergrid, Hager also presented integrated tenant electricity solutions designed to support property owners from feasibility studies and implementation through to operation and billing.
E3/DC: Storage solutions for greater energy independence
At ees Europe, E3/DC presented its latest innovations for decentralised energy supply. The Leading Power Setup intelligently combines solar generation, battery storage, heating systems and e-mobility into one integrated energy ecosystem.
A major highlight was the recognition of the bidirectional Wallbox edsn with The smarter E AWARD 2026 in the E-Mobility category.

Acting as an intelligent interface between electric vehicles, homes and the electricity market, the solution impressed the jury with its “simple design, broad compatibility, and support for low-carbon mobility.”
With smart energy management and dynamic electricity tariffs, E3/DC’s home power plants enable cost-effective and sustainable use of renewable energy at home.
advizeo: Turning data into action
At advizeo, the focus was on helping organisations gain greater visibility into building performance.
By collecting and analysing energy data across multiple sites, businesses can identify optimisation opportunities, reduce energy consumption and support long-term sustainability goals.

Herholdt Controls: Making energy flows transparent
Herholdt Controls completed the picture with its metering solutions for buildings and facilities.
By making energy consumption visible and measurable, these technologies provide the foundation for effective energy management and informed decision-making.

Together for better buildings
The smarter E Europe 2026 once again demonstrated that the energy transition is gaining momentum.
Across all four brands, one theme stood out: customers increasingly expect connected solutions that combine electrification, digitalisation and energy efficiency.
By bringing together expertise in energy management, storage, analytics and metering, Hager, E3/DC, advizeo and Herholdt Controls showed how integrated energy ecosystems can help meet these challenges today while preparing for the energy systems of tomorrow.
