Hager China powers Yankuang Energy’s smart mine power transformation

As part of its continued support for the energy and mining sector, Hager China is delivering advanced power distribution solutions for Yankuang Energy’s coal preparation centres, helping strengthen operational reliability, safety, and digitalisation across critical mine infrastructure.

With extensive expertise in industrial electrical solutions, high-performance products, and end-to-end service capabilities, Hager China has successfully secured power supply system renovation projects for two coal preparation centres operated by Yankuang Energy.

 

Through customised intelligent power solutions, Hager China is supporting the modernisation of critical electrical infrastructure, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to enabling safer, more efficient, and more intelligent operations across the energy and mining industries.

Tailored intelligent power solutions for demanding environments
Coal preparation centres play a critical role in mining operations and require power systems that can deliver high levels of reliability, safety, and efficiency under demanding conditions. However, existing infrastructure can face increasing challenges, including ageing equipment, limited digital capabilities, complex power distribution structures, and rising requirements for operational continuity.

 

To address these challenges, Hager China developed a customised intelligent low-voltage power distribution solution based on ACBs and MCCBs. Designed specifically for the demanding conditions of coal preparation centres, the solution combines robust industrial-grade equipment, optimised power supply architecture, intelligent monitoring, and enhanced safety protection.

 

By replacing ageing distribution assets with high-protection products, Hager China significantly improves resistance to dust, humidity, and corrosion while strengthening the overall stability and reliability of the power supply system. At the same time, the optimisation of the power distribution network helps minimise power losses and improve operational efficiency.

 

The integration of intelligent monitoring capabilities further enables digital and visualised management of the power supply system. Compared with traditional manual inspections, the solution provides greater transparency, faster fault detection, and more efficient operation and maintenance processes.

 

Safety is another key focus of the upgrade. Enhanced protection functions covering overload, short circuits, leakage, and overvoltage events improve fault isolation and emergency response capabilities, helping reduce electrical risks and create a safer environment for personnel, equipment, and production activities.

Once completed, the projects will significantly improve the stability, safety, and intelligence of the power supply systems at Yankuang Energy’s two coal preparation centres.
By reducing the risk of power interruptions and unplanned downtime while improving operational and maintenance efficiency, the upgraded systems will provide a stronger foundation for safe production and smart mine development.
