Long Night of Industry 2026: Hager opens its doors in Blieskastel
How are our products made? What technologies are used? And who are the people behind them? At the Long Night of Industry on 4 November 2026, around 59 guests enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look of production at Hager’s Blieskastel site.
Hager once again took part in the Long Night of Industry in Saarland in 2026. Across two visitor groups, guests had the chance to experience our manufacturing processes first-hand, learn more about our technologies and speak with our employees.
Experience industry up close
After a brief introduction to Hager, guests headed straight into production. Guided tours took them through several manufacturing areas, from injection moulding and powder coating to assembly processes, the manufacture of complete distribution boards and Scalefit. A visit to our laboratory was also on the programme.
At each stop, our employees explained the technologies and manufacturing processes and showed how individual components become solutions for electrical power distribution.
Visitors were particularly impressed by the modern equipment and automated machinery. One guest interested in Industry 4.0 saw this as an exciting glimpse into the future of manufacturing.
The people behind the technologies
Alongside insights into production, personal conversations were a central part of the evening.
During the get-together afterwards, guests could ask questions, learn more about everyday working life at Hager and find out about our apprenticeships, dual-study programmes and career opportunities.
“I was surprised by how modern and automated the production facilities are. What impressed me most was seeing how the machines work together and the technologies being used.”
An evening of discovery and connection
The event was made possible by the commitment of colleagues from different departments who shared their expertise, answered questions, and offered visitors a personal insight into their work.
“My personal highlight was the teamwork. Everyone thought ahead, took responsibility and contributed their part. We could rely on each other and worked together to make sure the evening ran smoothly. It was great to see how naturally everyone pulled together.”
Our sincere thanks go to all the employees whose commitment made the evening possible, and to our guests for their interest and the many engaging conversations.
