Herholdt Controls achieves ISO/IEC 27001 certification

As buildings become increasingly connected and data-driven, information security is becoming a critical part of modern energy infrastructure. To support customers, partners and system integrators in this evolving landscape, Herholdt Controls, part of Hager’s energy management portfolio, has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system (ISMS).

ISO/IEC 27001 is the internationally recognised standard for information security management systems. The certification confirms that the Hager company has implemented a comprehensive framework to manage information security risks, protect sensitive data and continuously improve its security processes across the company’s operations, from product development and testing to customer projects and supply-chain collaboration.

As energy systems become more connected, customers increasingly expect not only reliable products but also robust processes that safeguard data, intellectual property and operational continuity. ISO/IEC 27001 provides an internationally recognised framework to address these expectations. For customers, this means greater confidence when sharing technical specifications, project documentation, software requirements and other sensitive business information throughout the lifecycle of their project.

The achievement further supports readiness for emerging European cybersecurity requirements, including NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act, both of which are raising expectations around cybersecurity, resilience and supply-chain security for connected products and services.
