For us, sustainability encompasses Ethics, Employees and the Environment. This embraces an ethical approach to business, an inclusive and healthy work environment and reliable products and ingenious solutions which are future-proof. With a strong focus on the environment, we’re on the way to making our company a low-carbon operation. This includes for example cutting down on our CO2-emissions, optimising our logistics and reducing our packaging. It is a gigantic task involving a huge turnaround yet we’re moving forward fast. A truly sustainable operation includes everything, from sourcing to production from usage to end of life; we want to take our employees, partners and customers with us on this journey.

Hager Group Receives EcoVadis Gold Rating
Last year the rating was Silver. This result places the group in the top 1% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the manufacturing of electric motors, generators, transformers and electricity distribution and control app industry. It also places the company in the top 5% of all rated companies. Since the last assessment, the overall score has increased, thanks to significant improvements:

Environment is a priority
Environment management is such an important business priority of ours that we are pleased to make the following commitments.
We will use environment management systems such as ISO 14001 to carry out operations in an environmentally friendly fashion and employ principles of environment protection such as continuous product improvement, compliance with legal requirements and raising employee awareness at all our locations world-wide.
We promote environmental responsibility along the entire value chain, encouraging suppliers, customers & subcontractors to adopt environment standards.
We will develop our production processes with a clear focus on boosting energy and resource efficiency.
We will define the sustainable environment performance of our new products via an ecological design system which is based on evaluations for the entire product life cycle.
We will assist in the transfer of eco-ficient® technologies to emerging industrial countries.
We will include environmental factors in our risk assessment procedures relating to the bigger customer projects.
We optimise all packaging materials to 100% non-bleached recycled cardboard, 20% less raw material with the same durability and 70% less printing ink.
