IEC 60898 vs. IEC 60947
Safety mark
The SAFETY Mark is a certification issued by the Consumer Product Safety
Office (CPSO) that signifies compliance with Singapore’s safety regulations.
Controlled Goods must be registered and labeled with this mark before they can
be distributed locally. Registered Suppliers are responsible for proper
labeling, and CPSO may conduct spot-checks at warehouses when necessary.
This scheme is regulated by Enterprise Singapore (ESG), the official body for standards and accreditation in Singapore.
Currently, 33 categories of household electrical, electronic, and gas appliances and accessories are designated as Controlled Goods. These require a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) and must carry the SAFETY Mark.

SAFETY Mark for Hager products
All Hager products that belong to SAFETY Mark Controlled Goods are appropriately marked in accordance with these guidelines, including:
• Wiring Accessories (WA)
• Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs)
Each SAFETY Mark includes an 8-digit certification number (format: XXYYYY-ZZ), issued by accredited Certification Bodies (CABs), which links the product to its Registered Supplier and classification.
To ensure safety and peace of mind, always choose products that carry the SAFETY Mark prominently*.
*Details about SAFETY Mark certification can be verified through the Consumer Product Safety Office website. More comprehensive regulatory information can be found in the Singapore Consumer Protection Regulation Info Booklet.
