Our new pluggable distribution board and metering solutions, along with our Klik 7 Pin lighting control system were specified as the perfect electrical solution for the project.
The building’s overall design aims to showcase Germany’s ‘Passivhaus’ design and build standard based upon the latest energy efficiency standards in terms of a building’s thermal performance, exceptional airtightness and mechanical ventilation.
To enable energy and operational efficiencies to be maximised, the building designers have specified our new pluggable electrical distribution board and metering solutions, along with our Klik 7 Pin lighting control system.
These solutions have proven to be cost-effective and straightforward to install for the site contractors and will enable management to closely monitor the building’s energy consumption to help optimise energy usage.

In addition to the metering solutions, the new building also incorporates our pluggable Klik 7 Pin lighting control system. This offers a unique modular plug and socket interface to provide a simultaneous mechanical and electrical connection in one easy click-in action.
To aid ongoing efficiency objectives, the lighting control system will provide, among other benefits, automatic presence detection in rooms and daylight saving capabilities across the entire 500m2 office environment. This will enable BSD to save energy and reduce costs, while lowering carbon emissions.
